Singer-songwriter Jeong Sewoon recently released an acoustic cover of “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” on his official YouTube channel.

In the video, the Produce 101 season two alum—who has since carved out a successful career as a soloist with five mini albums and one full-length album, all of which charted in the Top 20—can be seen playing the guitar and singing against the backdrop of a wide lake. He’s also surrounded by lush green foliage.

He put a refreshing acoustic twist on the song, which was written by two American songwriters named Bob Crewe and Bob Gaudio. In 1967, it was recorded and released by Four Seasons frontman Frankie Valli, and went on to become one of his biggest hits. The song has been covered multiple times over the years, but Jeong Sewoon was able to make it his own. His version gives off a lot of healing vibes.

In an interview with music journalist Jeff Benjamin earlier this year, he opened up about being called a “singer-songwriter idol.”

“It’s a very special nickname my fans gave me. ‘Singer-songwridol’ sounds very unique! I’m really happy with being called by that nickname. I think I became known as a singer-songwriter idol because I showed aspects of being a singer-songwriter and an idol on the survival programs K-pop Star and Produce 101, respectively. I learned many things about being an idol through the latter, and I was influenced by it, but I believe I’m showing various aspects of myself that are suitable for different circumstances and times.”

Jeong Sewoon continues to communicate with his fans through different projects. FOREST is one of those projects. Its name refers to his desire to rest through music, and it was born as part of a cover project. He also does LUCKY TV, which is a series of videos about his daily life. He has just launched a new series for his YouTube channel where he'll be cooking for different guests. Watch the first episode below.
