It's been 2 years since I was last able to visit South Korea. There are so many things I miss; the food, the people, the transportation, and even the architecture. Luckily, I found a park in San Antonio, Texas that has a pavilion that was donated by Gwangju, South Korea! While nothing can beat the experience of the artifacts and rich culture found at the palaces in South Korea, being able to see a small structure in person again was truly amazing.
The dancheong (단청) was just as intricate and vibrant as I remembered. While this park may have satisfied me for now, I cannot wait to get back to South Korea in the future.
