Los Angeles is well-known for its breathtakingly beautiful beaches. So, if you prefer peace and quiet, go to the nearest seaside and simply breathe in the salty air.

First on the list would be Manhattan Beach Pier, which is a 928 feet long concrete bridge. The parking lot to the beach is lined with Palm Trees that makes the place really cool.

The pier is popular among residents, visitors, photographers, and artists, as well as fishermen. Sunsets and observation spots from the sea and hillside are available.

There is a Roundhouse Marine Studies Lab and Aquarium at the end of the pier where you may witness species native to the Southern California ocean. At the pier, one may also go fishing. Fishing is a good hobby for seniors since it is soothing and does not need any muscular movements. It is usually satisfying to be rewarded at the end of the day with a good catch.

If you don't want to get all sandy, you may find a wonderful vantage point to see the Pacific from afar. The Terranea Resort is one such location, where you can glimpse the seashore without touching the sand.

The Paradise Cove Pier provides 360-degree views of the Pacific Ocean, from Point Dume in the west to Palos Verdes in the south. A short stroll from the Beach Café will lead you to stunning cliffs, abundant tidal pools, and hidden caverns.

Paradise Cove is located just beyond the Point Dume State Marine Reserve's southern boundary and is an excellent area to see animals, including the odd whale! Surfing, stand-up paddling, swimming, kayaking, fishing, and boating are popular activities.
