BTS is back on top where it belongs.

Their hit single “Butter” topped the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart again, thanks to a remix featuring American rapper Megan Thee Stallion. This is the single’s 10th non-consecutive week at No. 1 on that chart and its 14th week atop the Digital Song Sales chart.

Despite the success of the remix, “Butter” is still credited solely to the Korean septet on both charts. The total activity of the original and other mixes without a feature from another artist outpaced that of the remix in overall metrics, including sales.

However, Megan Thee Stallion is credited on the Streaming Songs chart, which “Butter” just reentered No. 35. The remix was the single’s most dominant version in streaming in the week ending September 2.

Aside from bagging the Hot 100’s Top Sales Gainer and Streaming Gainer awards, “Butter” drew 12.2 million radio airplay audience impressions and 10.7 million US streams during the tracking week. As per MRC Data, the single also sold 143,000 downloads in that time.

“Butter” is the 40th single in the Billboard Hot 100’s 63-year-history to spend 10 or more weeks at No. 1—the first since Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” logged 11 weeks at the summit from January to March 2020.

As if that wasn’t enough, “Butter” also claimed the top spot on Billboard’s Songs of the Summer chart, which runs from Memorial Day to Labor Day every year. This year’s version encompassed the charts from June 12 to September 11.
