According to Samuel's lawyer, Brave showed Samuel his payment statement in December 2018, but it differed from the one revealed during this trial. They went on to say that the difference was 250 million won, or approximately $213,500. The lawyer for Brave Entertainment responded by denying the allegations. Furthermore, Kim Samuel's earnings did not even reach the break-even point, and the difference between the numbers in the recently released payment statement is insignificant.

Samuel's lawyer also claimed that Brave forced Kim Samuel to release a single for a blockchain-related event, to which Brave Entertainment responded that they are committed to all of their responsibilities, including management responsibilities and unwavering investment in their artists' development. They are following a legal contract with Samuel and have not been unfair to him. In addition, they will take legal action in accordance with the law.

Samuel, who was signed to Brave Entertainment at the time, announced in 2019 that he would promote as an independent artist. The agency responded by claiming that Samuel's decision was arbitrary and that they planned to sue him. Samuel's mother and lawyer then revealed that the singer had filed a legal complaint against Brave Entertainment after failing to terminate his contract with the agency, outlining the specific issues that resulted in a breach of trust.
