The Boyz' Thrill-ing Shows Good Standing in MelOn Charts

This is the third time The Boyz has reached several spots in the MelOn's top 100 chart, since their appearance on Road to Kingdom.

The old 24Hits and Recent 24Hits charts will be replaced by the TOP100 and Recent charts, Melon Company said on August 2.

This upcoming update is being made in response to user feedback and industry changes.

The new TOP100 chart will be 50 percent based on usage from the previous 24 hours, while the other half will be based on usage from the preceding hour. When there are a small number of users between the hours of 1 a.m. and 7 a.m., the chart will be based entirely on the previous 24 hours' activity.

For the past five minutes, hour, and 24 hours, the Chart Report will show the number of listeners for all songs in the TOP100. A Chart Board will also be available, allowing listeners to observe songs that have recently entered the chart, songs that have risen in the rankings, and chart changes for songs they appreciate.

However, looks like The Boyz had no problems with the chart changes as they continued to claim spots in different parts of the chart.

Their highest reach in the chart was at #17 with their new comeback single, Thrill Ride.

The group's B-side tracks have also claimed several spots in the middle of the chart, topping songs from Justin Bieber and Brave Girls.

The Boyz' B.O.Y. claimed the #52 spot while their 2019 hit song D.D.D has risen back to the charts, settling at #61, climbing 25 ranks from before.

Bloom Bloom, the first ever song from The Boyz that won them their first ever music show trophy, has also appeared in the charts, sitting at #72.

Lastly, its 2020 comeback song The Stealer, which also won them a slew of music show wins, appears on the #95, with BTS' song Idol in 2017 sitting beside them on #96.

The Boyz has started gaining traction from the Korean public when they joined Road to Kingdom last 2020 and won with their outstanding performances. They clinched the second spot in Kingdom this year, with Stray Kids winning the top plum.
