Following her multiple school bullying scandals, Soojin of (G)I-DLE has announced her departure from the group. Despite her denials, claiming she had no recollection of the episodes, it was ultimately determined that she would withdraw. The announcement was posted to their online fan group by a member of the crew.

Cube Entertainment apologizes to the fans as they have decided that Soojin will withdraw from the group. (G)-IDLE will continue to promote as five members and they wish her the best on her future endeavors.

Soojin was embroiled in several school bullying scandals, one of which was allegedly done by her to actress Seo Shin-ae. Following the exposing posts of the other victims, Seo Shin-ae seem to have alluded their sour relationship with each other, with Soojin verbally and emotionally abusing her for being an actress back then. She never confirmed nor denied the links but her continuous Instagram posts while the issue was hot were enough for fans to piece the puzzle pieces together.

Currently, the members of the group are busy with solo schedules. Leader Soyeon recently got a successful comeback with Beam Beam, while Yuqi is also doing individual schedules in Korea and overseas. Members Minnie and Miyeon were also busy with their solo gigs, with Minnie recently appearing on the hit Netflix sitcom So Not Worth It with GOT7's Youngjae and model Han Hyunmin, while Miyeon has been hosting M Countdown and has also done a couple of webdramas.
