Dr Saad Al-Khalaf
Dr Saad al-Khalaf is a consultant general psychiatrist with extensive experience is based in Guildford. He also covers a portion of Hampshire and London. Jennifer Laidlaw earned her MD from the University of British Columbia before doing her residency in psychiatry. During her time in Toronto, she was avidly involved in medical education. She's presented at international conferences and published on the subject of screening for delirium as well as professionalism and social media. She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL) and psychiatrist. Her main focus was building a thriving, highly collaborative CL service that provided the psychiatric treatment needed by patients in the surgical and medical units, including oncology and Palliative Care Units. She also was awarded a Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines for managing vulnerable patients in hospitals.
She is the Provincial Practice Leader for Psychiatry at BC Cancer, Clinical Associate Professor at UBC and Past-President of the BC Psychiatric Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty member of the UM PMR and Family Medicine residency programs. She has been interested for a long time in research and education on musculoskeletal issues.
