For the first time, D.O. has won a music award as a solo artist!

The winner for this week was announced via the program's official website, despite the fact that “Music Bank” did not air on August 6 owing to coverage of the 2020 Summer Olympics.

D.O. of EXO claimed top prize with “Rose,” the title tune of his debut solo album, scoring 6,546 points.

With 4,246 points, BTS' "Permission to Dance" finished in second, while Taeyeon's "Weekend" came in third with 3,398 points.

Music Bank will resume its regular programming next week, same as the other music shows. It is also expected that D.O will win on MBC's Music Core tomorrow.

His win also comes as a surprise since his song was a new addition to the weekly chart.

It is not the first time that an EXO member has won a music crown for their solo debut. Chen started it when he went solo last year, followed by Baekhyun, Kai, and now D.O. Congratulations!
