It is sad to know that EXO's Xiumin is the latest celebrity to test positive for the COVID-19 virus.

SM Entertainment has released a statement saying that the EXO member once tested negative for the swab test as a requirement for his musical practice, but he had to take another swab test due to the changes in his health. The test came back positive yesterday, and he was immediately placed into self-quarantine upon receiving the results.

EXO members and other staff members were also tested and are currently waiting for the results while self-isolating.

Xiumin also halted all his schedules for the meantime, while he recovers from the virus. Thus, it is possible for his role in the musical to be recast, though his fellow cast members and staff members in the musical Hadestown will also be tested for the virus.

He is the first SM Entertainment artist to test positive for the virus. South Korea has ramped up the lockdown status in the country as the Delta variant reaches Seoul.
