6 Actors Who Started Their Own Agencies

These actors took control of their acting careers and started agencies on their own.

It is a must for every Korean actor or actress to have an agency that will take care of their acting engagements, schedules, and other matters. Being an actor is tough but these agencies provide assistance to these artists to ensure their safety and security while working in drama sets.

However, some Korean actors have decided to take on the responsibility of managing themselves by opening an acting agency for themselves. These actors have been successful in doing so, thus expanding their abilities not only in acting but also in managing people around them.

These are six Korean actors who founded their own acting agencies.

Lee Byunghun

Aside from being a multi-awarded and highly successful actor, Lee Byunghun also manages his own entertainment agency. He founded BH Entertainment with the cooperation of Kakao M Entertainment, who is now also managing other actors aside from himself. Some of the notable actors and actresses under their wing include An Sohee, Han Gain, Go Soo, Park Hae-soo, Kim Go-eun, Park Boyoung, Yoo Jitae, Lee Jinwook, Jung Woo, GOT7's Jinyoung, and many others. BH Entertainment is now known as one of the best Korean acting agencies in the country.

Park Seojoon

In 2018, Park Seojoon founded Awesome Entertainment with his manager after his contract KeyEast Entertainment has expired. Since then, he has also managed the acting gigs and other schedules of other actors and actresses, including Kim You-jung, Yura of Girls' Day, Lee Hyunwoo, Bae Hyunsung, Kim Dowan, and many more.

Bae Yong-joon

He founded KeyEast Entertainment in 1996 after his storied successes both in Korea and Japan to manage his overwhelming schedules back then. KeyEast has grown to be one of the most famous and the biggest acting agency in Korea as of today. He still works as the CEO of the company, who is currently managing various actors and actresses such as Bae Jungnam, Han Sunhwa, Hwang Inyeop, Jo Boah, Kim Dongwook, Kang Hanna, and so much more. KeyEast also used to manage the careers of other Korean actors and actresses such as Ahn Sohee, Han Yeseul, and the late Goo Hara.

Lee Jong-suk

Lee Jongsuk founded A-Man Project to manage his acting gigs after his contract with his former agency expired. Nowadays, A-Man Project also manages Kwon Nara and Seo Eunsu.

Hyun Bin

In 2012, Hyun Bin founded VAST Entertainment when his acting agency's contract expired. He was joined by Shin Min-ah back then when they first found it. Nowadays, they manage other actors such as Stephanie Lee and Lee Yeonhee, along with Hyun Bin himself.

So Ji-sub

So Ji-sub founded his own agency 51K Entertainment in 2011. Back then, he didn't want to handle and train other younger actors, but now his agency also manages the acting engagements and other schedules of other actors such as Ok Taecyeon, VIXX's N, Lee Seungwoo, and many others.
