iKON is latest boy group to join Weverse

They're the second YG Entertainment artist to do so.

This year has been a big one for iKON. After dropping their digital single “Why Why Why” in March, they had a successful run on Mnet’s Kingdom: Legendary War. Now, they’re set to expand their global reach by joining the online fan community platform Weverse.

Originally a seven-piece band, iKON—whose current lineup is composed of Bobby, Chanwoo, Donghyuk, Jinhwan, Ju-ne, and Yunhyeong—will start communicating with their fans via Weverse on June 21.

According to the band’s label YG Entertainment, iKON will be releasing a lot of never-before-seen content through Weverse to repay their fans for the love and support they’ve shown, especially lately.

Launched in 2019 by HYBE Corporation when it was still known as BigHit Entertainment, Weverse already has one YG Entertainment group on its roster—iKON’s hoobaes from TREASURE.

Aside from iKON, Yuehua Entertainment’s girl group EVERGLOW is also set to join Weverse.

This move is expected to expand iKON’s global reach.
