The majority of robot vacuum and mop combinations can be customized with a specialized application. You can save maps of your home as well as set up cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. They also let you change suction power and fine tune the amount of water and scrubbing action your mop uses.
A mapping feature can help your robot navigate through rooms, while an obstacle avoidance function will stop it from hitting wires, furniture or other pet toys. These features are crucial in my house filled with toys.
1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the top-of-the-line vacuum and mop, comes packed with features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and can even lift its brushes or mop pads to ensure that soft surfaces don't get too wet. It also can avoid obstacles by looking for pet toys, plants, and other small objects.
The robot vacuum's maximum suction power is 6 000 pascals. This is higher than any other robot vacuum we've examined to date. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its position, which prevents it from getting stuck on an object.
The mopping capabilities of the S8 Pro Ultra are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad at more than 6 Newtons to ensure a thorough cleaning. It also has an automatic mop lifting system, which lifts the pad as it moves from laminate to tile, hardwood to carpet and rugs, thereby avoiding the possibility of soaking these soft surfaces.
The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing, and self-drying features. The pad can be rinsing and then drying within the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty before returning to the dock. This means you can just leave it in place and forget it, only having to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank occasionally.
This is all powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. I ran it on its normal vac and mop settings for approximately 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and returned to its base for a recharge. This isn't that far from the 180 minutes Roborock claims, and is on par other hybrids I've tested.
It's a robust, well-rounded product. The only issue is that it's costly. But its abundance of features makes it a very tempting choice for anyone looking to get rid of their old stick vacuum and mops. If you can afford the hefty price tag, we highly recommend checking this one out.
2. Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo. Its high-end price is justified by its impressive features, which include an impressive vacuuming capacity as well as two gyrating mop mops. It has an app-enabled smart controller and an advanced obstacle-avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 euros, which is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combinations available. In my tests, it performed very well across the entire home. It was able to remove 98.4 percent of debris from any type of floor and was able to lift long hair without getting caught up in. The mops also performed well and produced excellent results for cleaning with less effort than many mid-range models. This was thanks to their rotational movement as well as an effective dose of cleaning solution.
However, the L10S Ultra's most significant selling point is its innovative multifunctional docking station. The dock emptys its dust bin into a dirt bag, refills its water tank to enable the mopping function and even dries its mop pads for you. It also features a real-time safety detection system and allows you to schedule regular cleaning sessions using its smart controls.
Unlike the other hybrid vacuum mops I tried The L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced dirt pickup on carpets. The mops of the L10S Ultra aren't as effective in removing stubborn staining as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
In spite of the L10S Ultra's top-of-the-line features, it requires regular care and maintenance. Its base station needs to be emptied and the water and dust tanks must be emptied, cleaned and dried on a regular basis to avoid mildew and unpleasant odors. The mop pads sold separately will also require replacement every few months.
I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the money. If you're on a budget I would suggest a less basic model that allows you to save money and enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. Even it were the case that the L10S Ultra was the best robotic mop and vacuum combination you could find but its cost and constant maintenance will make it more of an option than a necessity.
3. Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that can clean up dust and dirt on your hard floors, while taking care of wet messes then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combination comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power. It also boasts an enormous battery capacity that can be used for mopping and vacuuming. It is also equipped with a top-quality obstacle-avoidance technology. It also comes with mop rollers that clean itself while moving and makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-cleaning to rinse off the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro has a unique mopping mechanism that is different from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller covers the entire length of the robot and it receives a constant supply of fresh water that is filtered and ozonated from the dock. While it spins the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt, and any dry debris is picked up by the side brushes or swept away into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station which is then sucked up by the tank's heating elements before being then pumped into a larger storage canister. The tank onboard holds a good amount of water and can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
As with most robotic vacuums and mop sets, the S1 Pro is ready to roll out from the box. The S1 Pro needs to be refilled with clean water. This can be done using the cleaning dock. If you'd like to use your own cleaner you can include a cleaning solution to the dock. If you opt for this option however, you'll need to buy the Eufy-branded cleaning solution which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow users to select their own choice of cleaning solutions.
As with most robots like it, the S1 Pro did well in navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations. It was quick to map a room and it easily navigated around furniture. It sat on carpets with longer piles several times during my tests. However it could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for an affordable price.
4. Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock's basic mop and vacuum, and it still offers some impressive features. The dock's multi-function function is emptying the robot's dirtbag, refilling its water tanks, and cleaning and sanitizing the mop pads is done by the dock. The mopping system itself is capable cleaning a good bit of a space before it needs to return to its dock and the vacuum's high suction does a nice job of removing debris and pet hair on carpets.
The software that runs the appliance is quite dense, and offers various options to customize the cleaning process. You can manually initiate an entire map and clear everything that's been that the device maps, or you can select individual rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine that you've crafted. There are a number of mopping options that include SmartPlan -an algorithm that makes use of the mops' sensors to determine the most efficient method to clean your home while it maps the space.
The Qrevo was a great performer during our tests, just like all the Roborock models we've test. Its navigation system is solid it can map rooms quickly and cleaning them in an organized fashion. Its 'Normal" pathing option covers an area well, and doesn't leave any major gaps or missing areas. The Reactive Tech hazard avoidance system is also quite effective however it's not as sophisticated as the color camera system on the Qrevo Master or the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect hazards like thick carpets but might not be able to identify smaller objects like electrical wires or rug tassels.
This device has a major flaw: it does not offer a mop after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who vacuum frequently prior to using their robot. Fortunately, there's a simple solution: the app offers the option to "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. This lets you use the mopping feature of the vacuum to remove the last traces of debris and dust that are left behind by your vacuuming. This is a great feature that helps this robot keep its cleanness a bit higher than its less expensive competitors.
